We are excited to announce that the HMLA-269 Reactivation Ceremony is officially scheduled for 1 July 2024 at 0900 in Hangar AS4108.  There will be two events on 1 July – the Reactivation Ceremony and then an Alumni Association hosted Meet & Greet later that afternoon at a nearby hotel.

The squadron has issued an open invitation to attend the Reactivation Ceremony, however, they have reduced staffing at this point and will only be able to provide limited administrative/logistical support.  Therefore, if any alumni wish to attend, we will ask that you rsvp via email or private Facebook message so that we can assist the squadron with managing attendees who are not active-duty personnel.

Further, we are at 60 days until the ceremony and hotel room reservations may be challenging.  We have been in discussions with the Courtyard Marriott, Jacksonville NC and will be able to block some rooms, but you need to let us know ASAP if you need a hotel so we can plan accordingly. As mentioned, we are also planning for a social gathering at the Marriott in the late afternoon/evening of 1 July and possibly a tour of the proposed memorial marker location in the Lejeune Memorial Gardens.
